Some parts of your care happen in person. Contraceptive injections, including your first Sayana Press, are given at our Archway medical centre after an initial consultation with one of our family planning nurses.

Contraception FAQs
Is the contraception service free?
Yes. Appointments with our family planning nurses are a free NHS service. Standard NHS prescription charges apply to your medication where relevant, just as they would at any GP surgery.
How do the appointments work?
Your medical records will automatically transfer once you have been registered with our GP practice.
Can I get emergency contraception the same day?
No, there is no cost. It is a free NHS GP service.
Do you fit IUDs (coils) or implants?
Yes. We offer telephone, video, and in-person appointments, so you can choose the option that’s most suitable for you.
Where do I get my contraceptive injection?
Yes. You can register if you live outside of London, provided if one of the following applies to you:
* You work in London (please provide your work address).
* You attend a university, college, or other educational establishment in London.
