We have a team of experienced practice nurses that run a wide range of services for our patients, from monitoring long terms conditions to performing immunisations, wound care and cervical screening.
Here are some of the things they can help you with:
Chronic disease monitoring – regular monitoring and annual checks for chronic illnesses such as Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, Blood pressure and raised cholesterol
Vaccination – including baby and preschool vaccination, adult vaccinations including travel vaccinations
Injections – if you need regular injections of medications prescribed by a doctor, book with one of our practice nurses to administer these.
Cervical screening – Our practice nurses will do cervical screening at our practice in Archway.
Dressing changes and stitch/clip removal – book with one of our practice nurses or health care assistant.
Contraception – Some of your practice nurses have specialist training in family planning and can discuss contraception options and arrange prescriptions. You can also book with our practice nurses to administer the contraception injection if this has already been prescribed for you.
Sexual health screening – Our nurses can discuss sexual health screening options with you and undertake routine investigations such as swabs. We also have specialist sexual health nurses if you are experiencing any concerning symptoms
Routine health checks – health checks and NHS health checks can be booked with our practice nurses or Health care assistant.
Health promotion – Offer advice and support on a healthy lifestyle
